Lattice Semi – BBBi
"I’m very satisfied with our recent deployment of BBBi software and how it captures our EBS sales order audit details, especially compared to our prior solution. The Absolute Tech solution is far superior. It makes revenue management data readily available to the business users. They’re finally getting what they need, and I have no more headaches with the quality and timeliness of the data."

[Addendum from Absolute.]
Like many semiconductor businesses running Oracle E-Business Suite, Lattice Semiconductor has a critical need to report sales order bookings for efficient ongoing operations. In the semiconductor business, reporting accurate real time bookings is a challenge (often referred to as "Book to Bill" or "Booking, Backlog and Billing" reporting). Orders often have significant lead times during which changes to quantity, price, and fulfillment dates are commonplace. Those changes impact revenue and operations.
EBS customers have found that Oracle Order Management does not have adequate built in mechanisms to report such net bookings accurately. Many semiconductor businesses have chosen to develop custom solutions, either in EBS or associated data warehouses, or third party EBS software extensions.
Lattice told us they hired a prominent software integration firm three years ago to develop and deploy a "Book to Bill" reporting solution. After significant expenditures, the integration firm’s solution did not work. It was slow and inaccurate, essentially unreliable and unusable.
They knew we have helped other technology and semiconductor companies with “Book to Bill” reporting and are experts in sales order revenue visibility for Oracle E-Business Suite.
In short order, we evaluated the faulty solution deployed at Lattice and identified the inherent issues giving rise to its failure to perform. The design was complex, rigid, inefficient, and produced excessively voluminous and inaccurate audit data.
Lattice replaced the faulty sales order audit custom solution with Absolute's BBB Intelligence application (used by EBS customers for 20 years). In the transition, we converted over 200 million legacy audit records to less than 200 thousand BBBi booking transaction history records, eliminating 99% of superfluous audit data generated by the old solution. Lattice’s Book to Bill reports from BBBi are now accurate and system performance is vastly improved over the old solution.
